Wistful Wish List | August

Wistful Wish List August

Happy Wednesday! Celebrating being halfway through the week with a pretend shopping spree. It’s so weird to not be going through my whole back-to-school shopping phase, and to be thinking of work outfits instead of school outfits. I am so into pre-fall fashion right now (even though it’s still totally 80 degrees outside) and looking towards lots of greys, blacks, and some gold for this month. I can already tell that midi skirts with buttons paired with cashmere sweaters is going to be a big trend. Darker shades of florals is a great way to slowly transition into fall like with this Veronica Beard floral dress. Geometric statement earrings are going to be once again big this fall, and I love how they literally look great with any outfit.
This month’s new book release that I am most excited for is A Map for Wrecked Girls by Jessica Taylor.  Sisters stranded on an island with a mysterious boy? I am intrigued.

A cool, almost Parisian like confidence seeps from Tracie Pfrogner as she nears the looming stone walls of the Jefferson Market Library in New York City. With her brown, almost auburn hair and black sunglasses perpetually perched atop her head, Pfrogner walks down the spiral staircase and sits down to immerse herself in another world and escape the searing heat of summer. Wistful Wishlist June

Wistful Wishlist June
It’s so hot in NYC that all I feel like wearing are lightweight materials and shorts! Especially with July just around the corner, I’m looking towards some beach time for sure. Floral midi skirts are great for those days when you just don’t feel like wearing pants, and a straw bag is the cutest summer accessory. A lovely light blue dress looks great with some dressy slide sandals, and you’ll look very patriotic with some red sunglasses. As far as summer reads go, House of Furies by Madeline Roux sounds like a creepy read that I can’t wait to pick up soon.
