Christmas is not only about getting presents and shopping; it’s also about giving back and giving to those in need. I was raised in a family that is very passionate about rescue animals and fighting against animal cruelty. So whenever an animal has needed our help, we have always taken animals in to make sure that they get the care they need. The two kittens pictured in this post were found dumped on the side of the road with their four other brothers and sisters plus their parents. My own parents took care of the little cat family until we were able to take them to SICSA to have them put up for adoption. SICSA stands for the Society for the Improvement of Conditions for Stray Animals. They help stray dogs and cats find new homes and they operate a “no kill” animal shelter and are located in Kettering, OH.
These adorable kittens who were not wanted by their original owners and were dropped off on the side of the road like trash now have good homes and have been adopted!
This year, my family and I donated items to SICSA, so that they can keep on doing the amazing work that they do every day. Below you can find their Wish List, so you and your family can donate to them as well! They also are always in need of volunteers, so if one of your New Year’s Resolutions is to volunteer more, consider becoming a volunteer for SICSA!
