Read with Tracie Marie Please Vol. 4

Welcome to the 4th installment of Read with Tracie Marie Please! This month’s reads are full of YA fabulousness, so let’s get started…

The Sky is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson

5 out of 5 stars

Recommend? Yes! Stop what you are doing, and go pick up this sweet book right now! Jandy Nelson is easily becoming one of my new favorite authors.

The Way Back to You by Michelle Andreani

5 out of 5 stars

Recommend? Yes! A very sad, but very sweet book.

What We Saw by Aaron Hotzler

4 out of 5 stars

Recommend? This book was very hard to read at times, but I also couldn’t put it down. This is a very important book about rape culture in our society today.

The Best Possible Answer by E. Katherine Kottaras

3.5 out of 5 stars

Recommend? Yes, if you have nothing else to read and you want a light summer book. The plot was kind of all over the place, but it was still a sweet story.

Dreamology by Lucy Keating

 3.5 out of 5 stars

Recommend? If you’re in the mood for a light read, this is a good pick. Can you imagine if the boy of your dreams walked into your class one day? Quite a unique and fun basis for a story.

The Swans of Fifth Avenue by Melanie Benjamin

4 out of 5 stars

Recommend? Imagine the 1960s version of Gossip Girl. And all the characters in this story are based off of real people!

Long May She Reign by Rhiannon Thomas

 3 out of 5 stars

Recommend? Imagine if you were 23rd in line for the throne, and after a mass poisoning you end up being crowned queen. Love the idea for this book, but I just did not get that into it. It was kind of disappointing.

Let me know what you’ve been reading lately in the comments below!
