My Blue Suede Shoes

Blue Suede Sandals Blue Suede Sandals Blue Suede Sandals Blue Suede Sandals Blue Suede Sandals

Black Sleeveless Top (similar) | American Eagle jeggings | ALDO blue suede sandals

These blue suede sandals are going to be walking me through summer days all through August! I have never been much of a sandal person, but I can honestly say that when I saw Brittany of Thrifts and Threads first wearing these sandals, I knew I wanted them. After eyeing them online for what seemed like months, I finally caved and got them. And I’m so happy I did. I love how unique these sandals are; I don’t think I’ve seen a suede pair like these that are this color. They’re also surprisingly comfortable and easy to walk in too!

P.S: These blue suede sandal babes are currently on sale! You’re welcome.

Forever 21 open poncho (similar) | Dolce Vita Okana over the knee boots
I loved my over-the-knee boots I got last year from Chinese Laundry, so I knew I wanted a more neutral tan suede pair for this season. These boots are very versatile, so I’m sure you’ll be seeing a lot of them in my outfits here on Tracie Marie Please. Today, I’m wearing them with a simple white t-shirt, skinny jeans, and a cozy plaid open poncho from Forever 21. This is a super easy “no thinking required” outfit option for fall.

On My Mind

Forever 21 black turtleneck | Forever 21 faux suede fringe skirt | Chinese Laundry Riley boots

I love the way this skirt looks with over the knee boots. It’s a “70’s meets Pocahontas” kind of feel! My inspiration for this look came when I saw blogger Peace Love Shea rocking a similar outfit on her Instagram. I’m all about transitioning summer pieces into fall and winter, and this skirt (which I purchased this summer and wore in this post) is a tricky piece to try and transition.

Friday Five: Fall 2015 Trends

It’s that time of the year again….the September Issues are out, Pumpkin Spice is on every barista’s mind, and we are all headed back to school. Fall is on its way! So today I thought I would share with you my five favorite fall trends for the upcoming season. I’ve also picked out some of my favorite ways to work the different trends, so I’ve basically done all your shopping for you!

Suede has been seen in short skirts and bags throughout the summer and this trend is also heavily appearing in outerwear this season.  Bonus points for fringe suede.

Last year, fur was huge for the winter months, now it’s getting an update with more of an emphasis on shearling. It’ll keep you nice and cozy all through the cold months to come.

Marsala may be the color of the year, but for this season it’s taking on a deeper richer tone: merlot. I love rich deep merlot for fall because it’s such a great way to add some color to the typical darker winter color palette. It’s also my favorite nail color for fall!

Cool grey tones are big this season, and from hats to sweaters to coats, there are so many different ways to add some grey to your closet.
The 1970’s era has been a huge influence on fashion throughout this year, and that will continue into the fall. Dark bold florals, breezy long maxi dresses, suede vests, and flare jeans are appearing in every It girl’s closet.

Rather Be

American Apparel crop top | H&M faux suede skirt (similar) | Eden Shoes Paris heels (similar)
Everyone has this skirt! And it’s no surprise why, it’s the perfect faux suede skirt. Wearing this skirt is a great way to wear the 70’s suede trend, and it will carry you from summer to fall. You can wear it with all black like I have done for this look or you can pair it with a white off the shoulder top and gladiator sandals. Add a sweater and cute black booties for an autumn ready look!
