I’m on Bumble?! Um yeah, who isn’t these days? As a girl who is all on her own in the Big Apple and single and ready to mingle, it makes sense that I would want a way to meet a bunch of new prospective suitors who can not only show me the best ice cream in town but also help me move my suitcase down a flight of stairs when I have to change Airbnb’s. And who knows? In a city with a population of 9 million people, with a little under half of that being men, the options are endless. It’s time to get out of your comfort zone and get out there (me, giving myself a pep talk in the mirror before a date)!
From awkwardly running into someone on the subway that you stopped talking to, to dealing with the true wasps who do not know how to treat a lady; I’ve seen it all. Now I have used Bumble before in Ohio (shout out to the guys with dead deer and camo in their profile pics!) and last summer while I lived in NYC, and I can tell you that I actually did meet some great people through it and are still friends with today.
Now I could probably write a whole post itself on my Bumble tips, but for today I’ll be sharing with you my no-fail Bumble date outfit. From just getting that first semi-awkward cup of coffee to a full night with dinner and drinks, this outfit works for anything. For me, I’m most comfortable in a great top, my trusty skinny jeans, and a solid comfortable heel (in this case a suede sandal). I’ve been wearing this outfit combination non-stop on my dates, and it’s the perfect mix of comfy, casual, and put together. Oh, and you’ll also look great obviously!
Side note: Once and For All by Sarah Dessen is the perfect summer romance to fill those summer-love-filled dreams
